I recently graduated from Auburn University, Cum Laude, with a degree in public relations. In July, I started work for Edelman in its office in Washington, DC.
My last semester at Auburn, I was fortunate to take advantage of two internships: one with Camp ASCCA, and another with New Communications, LLC. Both offered me great opportunities to gain experience in how new media can be used in an organization’s PR/comm efforts. I was thrilled to be able to attend the New Communications Forum in Palo Alto, CA, in March 2006, as aiding in its production was part of my internship with NewComm. Camp ASCCA is making huge strides with the use of social media, as well. Visit their Web site to see the outstanding work they continue to do.
I’m the founder and managing editor of Forward, an online learning community targeted at young people in PR. Forward was launched in March of 2006 and is proving to be a very valuable and rewarding experience. I get to work with a top-notch team of people through the site, and we plan to continue to grow this resource for years to come.
I also keep a personal blog here. (But shh … it’s kind of a secret. Heh.)
Please note: the opinions and positions put forth in this blog are entirely my own and in no way reflect those of my employer or the individuals I work with.

Hi Erin,
I am currently writing a final paper for my Integrated Marketing Class (I am a graduate student in San Diego) about the Dove campaign. I read that you also wrote a paper on this campaign, and I was wondering if you had any sources that would help write up a situation analysis. Ideally, I would love to get a good look at your paper - I would absolutely cite you if I decided to use any of your insight. I have a ton of research completed but am interested in the reactions, specifically of female PR students, toward this campaign, and the use of feminist rhetoric to sell product. Is there a balance, is Dove actually an honest company, or just trying to play on women’s insecurities is a very sneaky, indidious way.
Thought I would ask and see if you had any other comments.
Thanks!
Crosby

Just wanted to say that I really like your site. It is great to find people passionate about what they do–or in your case, going to do.
Sincerely,
Justin Hunt
